Nursing Home Neglect Case Makes Front Page

Last week, one of our nursing home abuse and neglect cases was the lead story of The Landmark, a Platte County, Mo., weekly newspaper. Our attorney, Rachel Stahle, who is representing the client was quoted throughout the article.

Our client brought forth the lawsuit against Garden Valley Healthcare Center after sustaining injuries. During our client’s four-month stay at the facilities, she developed bed scores on both heels that became infected as a result of negligent care.

From the article, “As attorney Stahle explains it in a 10-page lawsuit, Garden Valley breached its duty of care by “failing to provide adequate supervision” and “implement interventions” in a timely manner after client complained of heel pain.

Garden Valley should have knows that its behavior “created a high probability of injury.” These injuries required client to undergo additional treatment and incur medical expenses.”

This lawsuit is currently ongoing. Last month, the weekly paper reported on another lawsuit, a wrongful death case, against Garden Valley.
