J.J. Burns, one of the nation’s most sought after truck crash experts, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the American Association for Justice’s Trucking Litigation Group.
This group was formed in 2002 to advocate for safer highways, better equipped trucks, incorporation of safety technology, increased driver training, better working conditions for truck drivers, and sensible safety regulations. In addition, the group regularly donates to groups such as the Truck Safety Collation and Roadsafe America, two groups that Dollar, Burns & Becker is actively involved in.
From the group’s website – Members of the Trucking Litigation Group handle cases involving motor-carrier and owner-operator liability. The Group provides members the tools and resources necessary to successfully litigate their trucking cases. Group members network and discuss legal cases and strategies on the Group’s plaintiff-only list server and at regular meetings, including AAJ Conventions and Education seminars on trucking cases.
