Dollar, Burns, Becker & Hershewe recently announced the hiring of attorney Jordan Dollar. He will be a part of the firm’s insurance bad faith, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury practice groups.
Over the span of his career he has worked for a United States Senator, at the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District, as a clerk at the United States District Court – Western District of Missouri, and practiced at another private law firm. This time spent in judges’ chambers and the legislative branch gives him a distinct advantage in and outside of the courtroom.
Despite working in some of the most powerful centers of justice in our country, being able to directly help people get through the toughest time of their lives was what Jordan was meant to do.
From a young age, Jordan was inspired by his father’s work representing those who had been catastrophically injured or killed due to the negligence of others. He knew he wanted to become an advocate for those victims.
By immersing himself in all facets of the law prior to coming to Dollar, Burns, Becker & Hershewe, he was able to build a solid foundation of knowledge including preparing for and participating in oral arguments, drafting motions for summary judgment and dismissal, and preparing trial materials for both civil and criminal cases. Since joining the firm, he has argued in front of both the Missouri Court of Appeals – Western District and Missouri Circuit Court. In addition, he has also drafted petitions, discovery and motions.
Dollar earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas.
